Fundraising for my Eagle Project

Recently I did my fundraising for my Eagle project. I am earning money to pay for the desks at our new school in Bofu, Kenya. I earned $350 in one night last week. Wow. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported me. It’s helped me a lot.

I gathered my scout troop, and we went door to door throughout my neighborhood selling African jewelry. Here’s a picture of the entire group that went out:

The jewelry we’re selling looks like this.

I got at least 12 people to come and help me out. We each went in groups of two or three. Who ever sold the most would get a soothing king-size candy bar. Mmm.

My brother and his friends earned the most. They earned $90. That surprised me because they are a few years younger than the rest of us. Go figure.

Even though we had a successful night we still have plenty of jewelry left. If you are interested in purchasing any, please contact me. Each piece of jewelry costs $5. If you don’t want any jewelry, but still want to help out, you can just make a donation online.

Our troop is going out again this Friday, June 22nd for any of those in our neighborhood who weren’t home when we came by last week. Thanks!

Also, here’s some more pictures from the fundraising night:
