Breaking Ground in Bofu!

We just received some exciting news – they broke ground for our school in Bofu!

Koins for Kenya held a “groundbreaking ceremony” with the people before they began digging the foundations. Yes, those are women doing the digging – unfortunately, that’s how it works down there. Koins employs locals for most of the school construction. It usually takes several months to complete, which is why they’ve started now. When we arrive in July, most of the hard work will already be done. We’ll be there for the “final touches” and the opening ceremony to hand the school over to the village.

It’s exciting to see the work finally begin. Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to the project so far – your donations are already hard at work! If you’d like to participate by making a contribution, there’s still time. Learn how you can donate.
